I only use Finish to clean my machine. It’s not cheap but it is reliable. For an irregular job, why save pennies and risk a poor clean? It’s easy to use with clear instructions. The machine is shiny and smells great after. If your machine is like mine, you will still need to open some compartments to rinse them out by hand - it can’t do the impossible but once you’ve removed any chunks of food or large detritus, this cleaner is the business. The inside will look like new. An oddly satisfying process.

I live in a super hard water area and my dishwasher is running twice a day and I’m terrified of it breaking so I use this to keep it limescale free and working. Seems to do the trick and it definitely gets rid of the slightly grim stale smell it occasionally gets.
